‘Last Light’ depicts gum leaves painted from photographs taken on walks in my neighbourhood in the Adelaide Hills. Facing North West, we often get beautiful sunsets that cast stunning light over the native plant varieties. I have long held a fascination with the irregular silhouettes of foliage- a theme that has popped up in artworks and murals alike.
