'Spirit of the Fleurieu' | Limited edition print
‘Spirit of the Fleurieu’ Limited Edition Giclee Print.

The original painting was created for the book cover design of ‘Wine, Beer and Spirits of the Fleurieu’ and it sought to encapsulate the swirling movement of a wine in a wine glass- but also perhaps the swirling motion of the salt air of the ocean swirling into the land and sky of the region. The colours of this print were directly inspired by my drives to and from Normanville where I was painting a mural at the time. Those endless blue skies, soft purple tones of the froth of wine fresh from the barrel and green gold tones of the iconic Fleurieu hills.
The original painting of this print was created using watercolour and gouache paint.
